In May 2022, Denison Parking began managing parking for Hamilton County, Indiana’s new five-story parking garage totaling 483 spaces. The parking garage will provide parking for the government center and the public after hours. In addition to this parking garage, Denison Parking will also manage a 45-space parking lot for Hamilton County.

“We are pleased to continue supporting Hamilton County’s growth. In 2021, we began managing the parking garage at The Levinson, a mixed-use development, and the on-street parking for Noblesville, the county seat. As the county has continued to grow, so has its need for additional government center parking. We look forward to providing a seamless parking experience for the community.”

— C. Perry Griffith III, President of Denison Parking

Attractive Addition

The Hamilton County Parking Garage was designed to complement the historic architecture of the city. Both the Hamilton County Garage and recently completed Levinson parking facilities complement the historic aesthetic of neighboring buildings while making the area more convenient and attractive.

Supporting Hamilton County’s Growth

Hamilton County’s government center and court system support Indiana’s fastest-growing county. Due to this rapid growth, county employees have used several parking lots around downtown Noblesville. The new garage is intended to consolidate parking for the government center employees and jurors.

Proactive Planning

Since the county’s current growth has necessitated new parking facilities, it was clear that a proactive solution would need to address the county’s future growth. The county now plans to add a new judge to the Hamilton County court system. This issue was an important factor in the decision to add a fifth story to the garage. The proactive decision will save construction costs and keeps the space available, as noted by the county commissioner.

“With judges, you typically get juries, and you have to provide parking for that, too. With that, we felt comfortable to get additional pricing to add the fifth floor for additional capacity. In the next five to six years, we may need that additional space, so given that fact, we felt it was appropriate to propose (the additional floor) to county council at this time to save cost on construction to do it now, do it right and plan for the future.”

 — Hamilton County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt

Supporting Commerce

Current plans are to keep the garage and Logan Street lot open to the public on weekends and after 5:00 pm on weekdays. The parking facilities are near many popular attractions in downtown Noblesville.
