Contest Rules

Terms and Definitions

  • The person who enters the contest will be referred to as the entrant. Only entrants will be eligible to win.
  • The action taken by the entrant to successfully submit entry will be referred to as a qualifying action.
  • Entry into the contest will be referred to as an entry. An entry will be a successful submission of a qualifying action that does not violate the Contest Rules.
  • The specified prize will be referred to as the prize. If a contest includes multiple prizes, the prizes will be granted only to qualifying winners.
  • An entrant who violates or breaks contest rules will be considered ineligible. Only eligible entrants will be able to qualify to receive the prize.
  • The qualifying entrant who wins the contest will be referred to as the winner. In the event of multiple prizes, qualifying entrants who win the additional prizes will be referred to as the winners.
  • For the purposes of these rules, any contest, sweepstakes, or lottery which requires entry to win a prize will be referred to as a contest.

Entry Limitations

Entry is limited to one person. If one person has multiple accounts, only one entry from that entrant will be considered. If an entrant submits more than one entry on the same account or by using multiple accounts, they will be found in violation of the contest rules and will therefore be considered ineligible. The prize will be granted to the next eligible winner.

Contests may include more than one contest type. All rules for eligibility apply.

Denison Parking employees and their immediate relatives are not eligible to enter any contest created or managed by Denison Parking.

Age Limitations

Entries from minors will not be eligible. Denison Parking’s headquarters is in Indiana. Therefore, entrants must reach the age of majority (18 years of age) for the state of Indiana to be eligible to enter. If an entrant’s location of primary residence has a higher age of majority, the entrant must reach the age of majority for that location to be eligible to enter.

Location Limitations

Entrants must abide by contest rules as applicable in the United States. Any entrant who is subject to limitations based on their location will be considered ineligible.

Substitutions or Transfer of Prize

The specified prize offered will not be substituted for similar value. For example, if a prize of event parking for a specific location or date is offered, the prize will not be transferred to event parking for a different location or date.

Gift cards and similar prizes for monetary value will not be substituted for a credit at another location or given to the winner in any form other than what has been specified. For example, the monetary value of the gift card will not be given to the winner in the form of a check or monetary transfer.

Travel costs or any other costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included.

The prize will be granted to the winner only. The prize will not be transferred to another person.

Social Media Sharing

For contests which specify liking, following, submitting a post with a specific hashtag, or similar sharing, only publicly shared content will be considered a qualifying action.

If more than one action is specified, entries that do not complete all qualifying actions will be considered ineligible. For example, if a contest requires an entrant to like a post and publicly comment, by submitting a comment without liking the post, the entry will be considered ineligible.

Privacy Settings

The entrant’s privacy settings should not hide their submission. If an entrant has set their account’s privacy to hide their likes, shares, or other qualifying actions, their entry will be considered ineligible.

Withdrawal or Deletion

If an entrant withdraws, deletes, or otherwise removes proof of their qualifying action from public view, or if a report from the social media platforms shows their qualifying action is no longer active, the entry will be considered ineligible.

If an entrant’s account is suspended, deleted, or otherwise inactive, and their qualifying action can no longer be verified, their entry will be considered ineligible.

Guess the Number

For contests that involve guessing the number of items depicted or similar guess of a quantity, the entry who comes closest to the correct number without going over will be the winner.

Submission Limitations

Entries that require submission of images, ideas, or similar information will not be eligible if they are deemed indecent or inappropriate by the staff of Denison Parking.

Entry constitutes permission for Denison Parking to use images, ideas, or other information contained in the entrant’s submission. By submitting images, ideas, or other information, the entrant has granted ownership of the intellectual property. Entries of copyrighted material will be considered ineligible.

Voting

If the contest is based on winning votes, an entrant must not be found to engage in “ballot stuffing” or voting for themselves from multiple accounts. Multiple votes from the same person will be considered ineligible.

Tiebreakers/Multiple winners

The number of prizes specified will not be changed. If more than one entrant wins the same number of votes or qualifies by a similar action, a member of Denison Parking staff will select a winner from the entrants who are tied to win.

In the event of a tie for a contest with multiple prizes, a staff member of Denison Parking will break the tie and will specify the winner. The next runner-up will receive the prize specified at the next level lower. For example, in the event a tie for first place, the first-place prize will be granted to one winner and the second-place prize will be awarded to the other winner who was tied for first place.
