City of Palms Parking Garage
As part of a pilot program approved by City Council, the City of Fort Myers’ three downtown parking garages—City of Palms Garage, Main Street Garage, and the Luminary Hotel Garage—will increase the current one hour of free parking to two hours.
This temporary rate adjustment is intended to encourage residents and visitors to dine, shop, and enjoy downtown businesses and attractions without the added expense of parking for shorter visits.
These rates will be in effect from June 25, 2026, through October 31, 2026.
The city will evaluate the program’s effectiveness during the pilot period and consider future parking strategies based on utilization and community feedback.
The City of Palms parking garage is the pink parking garage at the corner of First Street and Monroe Street with Edison National Bank and additional shops. Convenient for exploring the River District of Fort Myers or attending an event at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center & Amphitheater. With a bike rack and proximity to several transit stops; this location has added flexibility for your transportation needs. For Lee County’s LeeTran Transit map and schedule, click here.
