Main Street Garage
As part of a pilot program approved by City Council, the City of Fort Myers’ three downtown parking garages—City of Palms Garage, Main Street Garage, and the Luminary Hotel Garage—will increase the current one hour of free parking to two hours.
This temporary rate adjustment is intended to encourage residents and visitors to dine, shop, and enjoy downtown businesses and attractions without the added expense of parking for shorter visits.
These rates will be in effect from June 25, 2026, through October 31, 2026. The city will evaluate the program’s effectiveness during the pilot period and consider future parking strategies based on utilization and community feedback.
Parking garage near the historic River District of Fort Myers and several downtown attractions at Jackson Street and Main Street including the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, Lee County Visitors and Convention Center, and many Lee County government offices.

Eligibility for Monthly Parking in the City of Fort Myers parking facilities is limited to individuals with a residential address or employment with a business within the boundaries of the downtown commercial district:
- North of MLK Blvd
- South of the Caloosahatchee River
- East of US 41
- West of Fowler Street
Vehicles may not be left in the parking facilities for more than 30 days. Any vehicles parked longer than 30 days are subject to towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.
